Amazing Pat

Here's an email I saved from June 1, 2007:

Hello My Dear - I am in BE HERE NOW mode.....as in NOW

And I am trying to stay in the happiness zone. Feeling gratitude for everyone in my life...our long and satisfying and high energy friendshp, and I'm happy to be here to bask in that vibe.

Matt was 23 yesterday -- I had given him Music for Airports for Christmas, and told him it was the first music we ever listened to together, hours after he was born. He was looking forward to hearing that mesemerizing around again.

Just ordered Eno's Land piece for me too...and maybe I'll finally start those daily short readings collected from Pema Chodron's buddhist teachings. NOW is the time.

Making panini's for me and Ed tonight, and salad and strawberries, starting with a gin and tonic of course. The garden is leafy and cool, with peonies in bloom and the New Dawn Rose starting to madly bloom in the heat today. It's a great one...thorny but beatiful....just like all the great people.

We'll see each other soon in some magical way, as always.
